We help Kenyan children to fulfil their potential and release themselves from the cycle of poverty, through partnering with locally run projects to support children, who may not otherwise receive an education, to go to school.

Story

Hello everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate they'll send your money directly to the charity.

Team Kilimanjaro is climbing the highest mountain in Africa in January 2011, for charity and a challenge. Our aim is to get as many people involved in supporting our cause through donations and passing the word around.

What a great way for friends to get together to take up a challenge to help better our society.

We have chosen Karibuni Trust, because it is our goal and passion, to provide opportunities for children to have a better life and hope for a better future. Seeing a smile on their faces will light up our world.

'Karibuni' is Ki-swahili for Welcome. The Karibuni Trust raises awareness of the needs of children living in poverty on the streets and in the slums in towns, cities, and rural areas of Kenya. The trust raises money to meet these needs by supporting Kenyan projects working with the children and their carers.

We hope you will join us in supporting our cause.

A little goes a long way!

Sincerely, a big 'Asante Sana' (thank you very much) from all of us.

Team Kilimanjaro - (Hansa Patel, Aarti Haria, Katharine Cross, Meera Whipple, Yaron Cohen, Onesmo Zakaria and Rakhee Chandaria)
