Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I suffer from Polycystic Kidney Disease which is the worlds most common inherited, life threatening disease. I was lucky enough to get a transplant but some are not as lucky and have to live with Kidney failure and the associated symptoms, limitations and treatments. My 2 daughters have also been diagnosed with the condition as it is hereditary and passed through generations, so more research needs conducting into preventing or at least managing this hidden illness.
Robert 'Bobby Tenjobs' Bell, Peter 'badblood' Wilson and Paul 'Basketcase' Simpson are planning to ride the 7 Stanes (Scottish trail centres) in 7 days. We will be riding Glentrool , Kirroughtree, Dalbeattie, Mabie, Ae, Glentress & Innerleithen, and Newcastleton. That is 200 miles of travelling before we even get on the bikes!
When we are riding the bikes over the 7 days based on the mixture of red, black and blue routes (only because some trail centres only have blue!) we will cover over 100 off road miles which is a big challenge as even downhill we dont get chance to relax!
So,Bobby and myself are riding to raise money for The PKDCharity
