We exist to give a lifetime of support to the wider Army family, regardless of where or when a soldier served. We act swiftly and efficiently in providing support in the form of grants to those who find themselves in real need. We also provide grants to charities who support the wider Army family.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We're running en famille plus Ted, our honoury Mitchell (Hannah's boyfriend) to raise funds for this great cause. What makes it all the more poignant is that each one of us running in memory of a soldier who died in Afghanistan.  That's someone's brother, son, husband, dad. Embroidered on our sleeve is the name of a soldier we're running for. We're proud to be running for L/Cpl Steven Sherwood. He was killed in a gun attack aged just 23 and after only one month in Afghanistan. Pte Ratu Silibaravi, who lost his life in a mortar rocket attack, Capt Daniel Shepherd, a bomb disposal expert killed while trying to diffuse a roadside bomb, Warrant Officer Class 2 Dan Shirley, who died in an accident on patrol and Rifleman Daniel Simpson killed by an explosive device and Rifleman Martin Kinggett, killed while on foot patrol aged just 19. You can see their moving stories and those of all our servicemen and women who have died in Afghanistan by following this link http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-10629358 We really hope you feel able to support us and a massive thanks for any amount you can give however small, it all adds up and makes a massive difference.
