Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

We don't like hassling people for money, but have decided to use this opportunity to ask you all to donate to a worthwhile charity - Medecins Sans Frontieres - while we plough through 150miles of Saharan desert.

One reason we chose MSF is that our friend Pat works for this organisation, posted in Northern Pakistan.  From his correspondence in the past months, and the little media coverage that gets through, we know that everyday they struggle, are stressed out and face constant danger.  But still they stay out there, working hard to improve and save lives.  For a look at what Pat is up to in Afghanistan, see his photos here:

We begin our Marathon Des Sables race on 29th March 2009, finishing on April 4th 2009.  We will be self-sufficient for the race, running while carrying our own food, sleeping bag and clothes for the week.
