The Mongol Rally 2009 · 18 July 2009 ·
What is the Mongol Rally?
The Mongol Rally involves driving from London to Ulaan Bataar (Mongolia) in a hopelessly underpowered vehicle.
Why would anyone do this?
There are two good reasons to enter the Mongol Rally (and probably lots more reasons not to do it!)
1) The first is for adventure. One of the basic tenants of the Mongol Rally is that "if nothing goes wrong, then everything has gone wrong. You only start having fun when you break down in the desert with only a short stick and some chewing gum to fix your car."
2) The second is to raise funds for some great charities including the Christina Noble Childrens Foundation.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Christina Noble Childrens Foundation Limited gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Donations are in pounds so you can get the latest exchange rates at http://www.xe.com/ucc/
