'Onesie Walk' - 17 Miles through the Yorkshire Moors to Dovestones
My two fantastic friends, Sarah and Matt, welcomed Rowan into the world on May 26th 2011. She was tiny and incredibly beautiful and melted everyones hearts. It was soon discovered that she was born with the genetic discorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Sadly on November 23rd 2012 she lost her fight with SMA after just 18 months.
Rowan was one of the strongest little girls I have ever met and she showed courage and determination all the way throughout her life. She influenced me and so many other people in such a positive way and that will never be forgotten.
I agreed to join Sarah and Matt on their quest to raise as much money as possible for the SMA Trust. When the idea of the Onesie Walk was created I jumped at the chance to visit my hometown of Huddersfield to help them raise awareness. To make this even better my fantastic friends in Dublin blew me away with their generosity by volunteering to join me on the walk.
So please help Me, Martin, Dearbhla, Brian and Chrsitian raise as much money as possible towards Sarah and Matt's £10,000 target.
Let's help fund The SMA Trust to allow them to research this disorder and find a cure.
Go Raibh Míle Maith Agat!
