Raising funds for the pedal power distribution of PFP films to remote areas of Malawi
In the run up to our 10th anniversary next year, Purple Field Productions is planning a number of celebrations. One in which we hope that many of our supporters will get involved is a sponsored 10/10 Trek.
Your 10/10 Trek should be a tour of any 10 parishes, trekking at least 10 miles within a period of 48 hours by any means other than by motorised transport, for example, by walking, cycling, skateboard, horseback, punt, horse-drawn barge. You will need to take 10 photographs, one of each place, and post these to PFP’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/purplefieldproductions (or ask us to post them for you), within a 48 hour period of completing the trek. Parish boundaries are shown by a dotted grey line in the Ordnance Survey Explorer Maps (orange cover) and are available from larger newsagents or online from Ordnance Survey.
There will be a designated 10/10 Trek weekend each month to enable us to maximise the publicity. The 10/10 Trek dates will be:
11/12 May 2013
1-2 June 2013
20/21 July 2013
24-26 August 2013 (Bank Holiday Weekend)
14/15 September 2013
26/27 October 2013
16/17 November 2013
December 2013 - None
Dates for 2014 will follow.
Your sponsorship can be done through JustGiving and we would recommend setting up your own page linking it to our page, www.justgiving.com/purplefieldproductions, joining the 10/10 Trek Team (see below) and using our logo. Then join the team that will be participating on the weekend you have chosen.
If you can think of a 10/10 Trek you would like to do, please contact us at Purple Field Productions and we will send a fundraising pack and give you all the support we can.
On our 10th Birthday, there will be prizes both for the person who has raised the most money and for the person who has used the most unusual mode of transport. The winners will have their journeys featured on our website and in our newsletter.
This challenge is the ideal way to get out and about exploring either what’s on your doorstep or venturing further afield whilst raising money for PFP. So we look forward to hearing about your plans and recording your adventures and endeavours.
GOOD LUCK!
