Story

On the 2nd of June, Noah and I will be walking 10 miles to raise money for Purple Field Productions. This may sound rather feeble compared with a marathon but I have a tendency to get very grumpy on walks, particularly if it's a bit windy or if there's no cake nearby. And I will have to endure Noah's enthusiasm for the outdoors, so it really is a challenge...

As some of you know, I was lucky enough to work with Purple Field Productions through the Vodafone World of Difference programme this year.

Purple Field Productions are a small but dynamic charity that make a difference through making life changing films in Africa and Asia, ensuring that important information gets delivered to those who need it. Their work is something I feel really passionate about.

Next year, Purple Field Productions are celebrating their 10 year anniversary - and will be hosting a pedal powered film festival on Lake Malawi! To help raise money for this innovative and amazing project, Purple Field Productions have come up with the 10/10 Trek (10 miles through 10 parishes.)

Every £3.50 raised will enable one person in a remote area of Malawi, who normally has no access to information, not only to learn how to avoid AIDS and the benefits of going for HIV counseling, but also to gain invaluable knowledge that will assist them in growing more food, preserving their environment and benefiting from a better quality of life.
