We joined together to raise money for charity and as part of our Gold Challenge. We cycled 2012Km in a relay style. You'll see our original team fundraising target on the right. Your donation really helped us smash this goal
The concept
Simple really, this is how it worked:
· There are 14 major GSK Sites in the UK;
· 13 ‘legs’ to cycle between them, visiting every one;
· Distances varying from 10 miles to over 280;
· Each site put up a team to cycle to the next site in a certain sequence, 2012km overall is covered;
· A baton covered the whole distance – like in a relay and passed from site to site;
· Each of the legs took place on consecutive weekends starting from Montrose in May, through June to July - We finished on 22nd July at our headquarters GSK House (Brentford) before the opening weekend of the Olympics.
We had a fantastic time - thanks to all our supporters and sponsors.
