Please create your page and help us raise £2,740.00 for Brain Tumour Research.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer... yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research is allocated to this devastating disease which is why community support and involvement is so important to our organisation.
Brain Tumour Research is a national charity which has a major base in the region. Our flagship Research Centre of Excellence is housed within the University of Portsmouth. Led by Professor Geoff Pilkington, the team represents the largest group of laboratory-based brain tumour scientists in UK working on pioneering and ground-breaking research to help us find a cure for this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research also funds world-class research at three other key centres – Queen Mary University London, Imperial College London, and Plymouth University. Together, we’re building a network of experts in sustainable brain tumour research.
