We've joined together to raise money for Macmillan in aid of Cancer.
As a team we are doing the London to Brighton Night Ride on September the 20th 2014.
Starting at the Olympic Village and ending on the beach at Brighton. 100km through London, Surrey and Sussex. Aiming for under eight (8) hours.
We do not have a total to aim for, we just need to raise as much as we can. (a minimum of £200 each is a must)
So far we have Eleven riders:
Nermin, Gemma, George, Amy, Notty, Strongarms, JD, Vere, Dzenana, Sam and Ollie.
- £27 could fund a Macmillan nurse for an hour.
- £181 could pay for a Macmillan social worker or family support worker for a day.
- £372 could help run a small Macmillan information and support centre for a day.
- £500 could pay for a spa pampering day for all the members of a self-help and support group.
- £1,010 could pay to operate our Support Line for an hour, providing an average of 32 people with essential information and support.
- £2,030 could pay for 10 Macmillan palliative care nurses for a day. They help terminally ill people, and their families or carers, to cope with the diagnosis and support them so they can continue with their daily activities.
- £4,393 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for a month.
