On 22nd July 2011, Anne Newbery and Holly Battisson are running around Leicester, stopping off at each of the city's sports facilities on the way to try out a different Olympic sport.
The purpose of the challenge is two-fold.
Firstly, it is to celebrate the 12-month run-up to the 2012 summer Olympics and to act as a curtain raiser to the 2012 Open Weekend that is taking place around the city on the 23 and 24 July where members of the public can try out a selection of Olympic sports free of charge.
Secondly it is to raise money for three charities: Sue Ryder Care, Wishes 4 Kids and LOROS.
Currently the schedule for the day looks like this:

Run 4.19 miles to Saffron Lane, take part in Javelin taster session
Run 0.28 miles to Aylestone, take part in Table tennis taster session
Run 3.13 miles to Braunstone, take part in Trampolining taster session
Run 1.1 miles to New Parks, take part in Swimming taster session
