Hard Way Round

Team photo

Thanks for visiting my team fundraising page.

I'm Kevin Carr, a British ultra-marathon runner, aiming to become the fastest person ever to run around the world unsupported.

I'm running in aid of two charities, British Red Cross, and SANE, and hope to raise £10,000 over the course of the run.

Running without a support team, I'm pushing all my own equipment for the 18,000+ mile challenge, which is expected to take 19 months. As part of the challenge, I will pass through 27 countries and cross a total of six continents, five of which are from ocean to ocean.

To be running in support of the British Red Cross and SANE, both of which mean a great deal to me, is inspiring. British Red Cross does some amazing work globally with vulnerable groups, many of whom are found in countries which I will be passing through. Equally, SANE does a wonderful job to help anyone affected by mental illness, an issue which is close to my heart. The knowledge that I am raising money for both these charities has been a huge motivator for me already, and I am sure it will continue to spur me on massively over the next few months.
