OUR STORY
We are a group of family and friends who are running the Plymouth Half Marathon 2011 in memory of a very special man, Philip 'Larry' Lamb.
Larry suddenly and tragically died on the 28th June 2010 just months before his wife Lisa was due to give birth to their first child. Lisa has since given birth to a beautiful baby boy, Zachary.
Larry collapsed whilst helping out at a Summer School at the University of Plymouth where he was studying to be a paramedic.
Larry was a very outgoing, bubbly man who would light up a room with his huge smile. He made a big impact on many people in a short space of time and will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to meet him.
The team running the Plymouth Half Marathon on the 29th May 2011 include Larry's wife Lisa, his brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Alison, several of his close family friends and many of his friends and colleagues from the Paramedic cohort at the University.
As a team we've joined together to raise money for Devon Air Ambulance Trust, a charity that was close to Larry's heart. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right, and with your donation, you can really help us to smash this goal.
