I very suddenly and sadly lost my darling husband Larry on the 28th June 2010. At the time I was 27 weeks pregnant with our first child. I have now given birth to a gorgeous baby boy named Zachary Philip George Lamb, in memory of his amazing Daddy.

Larry was only 35 years old and still had all of his life to live. He had been training to be a paramedic at the University of Plymouth for the past 12 months and was so happy in his new profession.

Larry was a very special man who touched the hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to come in to contact with him. He always wore a huge smile and could light up a room with his 'big' presence.

Being a trainee paramedic, Larry felt passionate about the work of the Devon Air Ambulance. The Devon Air Ambulance Trust needs to raise around £4million each year to keep both helicopters airbourne. This is a significant amount and is why donations are so vital in keeping this important, life saving service going. 

So in memory of my husband and in aid of this very worthwhile charity, myself and some of my family and friends are running the 2011 Plymouth Half Marathon. If you can therefore manage to donate whatever you can for this cause, I would be so grateful.
