We're raising for Auditory Verbal UK. AVUK transforms the lives of deaf children by helping them to listen, speak and participate fully in mainstream society. 80% of the children they work with go on to mainstream school with language equivalent to their peers.
Auditory Visual Therapy is an intensive family-based intervention which enables even profoundly deaf children to learn to listen and speak without the need for lip reading or sign language.
Their vision is that there should be no barriers between the babies and children that they work with and the rest of the world. Graduates from the program thrive at school, make friends, chat on the telephone and enjoy music!
