We've joined together to raise money for the Children’s Paediatric Team which is part of The East & North Hertfordshire NHS Charitable Fund
We shall be cycling over 440 gruelling kilometres in just 4 days across France and into Italy from Nice to Pisa from Sept 9th to 13th 2011.
This cycle has been entirely organised and self-funded by us, and we would like to utilise this opportunity by raising some much needed sponsorship for the Paediatrics team, which provides amazing care and support for Children across E & N Hertfordshire.
Children's Paediatric Team
The Paediatrics staff care for children and young people that have a wide spectrum of problems, injuries and illnesses. These include:
· Very sick children with life threatening illnesses, infections and injuries such as meningitis, asthma, cancer, diabetes, head injuries
· Children with complex needs
· Children with long term conditions such as cystic fibrosis
· Children who need to be safeguarded, because of abuse and/or neglect
· Emergency operations for injuries such as broken limbs and for acute problems such as appendicitis
· Elective operations such as squint repair, hernia repair etc.
