Hi its Toni here, we have set up a team page for anyone to join that would like to help us hit our target and raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity. Im on a mission ro raise awareness as well as £10,000 for The Brain Tumour Charity. My partner Jon/Chad was diagnosed with a high grade brain tumour during September 2014. He has undergone brain surgery followed by 6 weeks of comination treatment which consisted of radiotherapy 5 days a week and chemotherapy 7 days a week for the full 6 weeks. Chad then went on to have 4 months of maintenance chemotherpay. Its 18 months on and Chad is still doing great with the tumour still currently been monitored.
The charity its self is underfunded and rely's 100% on voluntry donations. Brain tumour's are the biggest cancer killer in children and adults under the age of 40. Only 2% of the money raised for Cancer Research goes to brain tumour funding and research.
