I've chosen to undertake a pretty crazy Husky Trail challenge next April in aid of Alzheimer's Research UK and Barnardo's Young Carers.
I'll be standing on a sledge trying to control my own team of huskies for approximately 250 km through snow, forest and over high ground across the Arctic Circle in Norway and Sweden. Each person on the challenge has to take care of their dogs' needs and then erect their own tent every night, cook their own 'dry tech' meal and camp in temperatures which could reach minus 20 C. There'll be no running water or electricity and certainly no en suite facilities! As I hate the cold and haven't camped in over thirty years it's going to take me completely out of my comfort zone, testing my core strength and stamina to their limit!
I'm self funding the challenge so if you'd like to make a donation it will go direct to the charities. Just click on the pages below for more info and help me raise lots of money! You'll be doing something wonderful. Thank you.
