Birmingham is holding the World Half Marathon Event on Sunday October 11th.

20+ Serco Solutions staff will be running the 13.1 mile route, which passes by the entrance to Laburnum House at around the 7 mile marker. Please come out and support your colleagues, especially those that are running in this kind of event for the first time.

A number of us are running for the Helen's Trust Charity (see below), please give what you can to this worthy cause.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helen's Trust aims to help people with an incurable illness to stay in their own home.

The Trust will endeavour to fund whatever it takes to achieve this aim, for example: nursing care, sitters, help to run the house, care for others living in the home, equipment or complementary therapy.

This is how Helen's Trust made a difference to a local man and his wife:

"There aren’t enough words to say thank you for all the kindness, support and help we had when we needed it most... If it wasn’t for Helen’s Trust we would not have been able to spend those last precious days with him, at home, which was our greatest wish."

This was achieved thanks to our fundraisers.
