On July 5th 2008 Al, Tom and Dec will be embarking on an adventure. We are taking part in The Mongolia Charity Rally (www.mongoliarally.com), a pan-continental drive across five mountain ranges, two deserts and more barren and inhospitable lands than you care to shake a stick at. Starting in London, the final destination is the capital of Mongolia, beyond the Gobi desert, Ulaanbaatar. The Journey will be around 8,000 miles.

Our route will take in the delights of France, Belgium, Germany, Czech Rep, Slovakia, Hungary, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan (again), Russia (again), and finally Mongolia.

We will undertaking this mammoth journey in a Fiat Panda that we have named The Slanda Panda. Its an excellent piece of machinery but could get a little cramped after a few days.

Slanda Panda Trivia - The guy who sold it to us said that it used to belong to ex Rolling Stone Bill Wyman.
