3500 miles....in 15 days....by 4 students.....in 1 London cab....didn't think we were going to do an easy challenge did you?

If you don't know what I'm going to be doing I'll tell you now. I (Rhiannon) and 3 others (Reesy, Richard and Jas) have entered the Student Brakeaway 2007 event leaving on the 24th August 2007 (formally the Student Gumball Rally). We are all students or "soon to be" graduates from Kent University and have decided to raise lots of money for charity. We've all picked one and one of mine is Macmillan Cancer Support.
So how are we going to earn all these donations I hear you ask? Well we are going to attempt a massive road trip through Europe (student style of course) and will be driving it through South East England, France, Spain, over to Italy, back up to German, onto Belgium and back home to England!!! In total 3500miles! and we're going to do it in 15 days (6 days with Student Brakeaway rally and the rest on our own!). We start from Brighton on the 24th August!!!!....and what makes this all so special and worthwhile....we are going to be driving through Europe in the luxury of a traditional London Black Taxi which we are going to buy and decorate for the event!
Crazy you might say! And you are probably right but we are going to do it anyway! So please donate, which you can do through this page and after we complete the challenge all the donations will be sent straight to Macmillian Cancer Support and if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Don't forget to tell all your friends and family what I'm planning on doing as well. I know its a cliché but "Its for a good cause!"
Team updates will be put on our website and will include pictures, the route and news on our efforts as we prepare ourselves for the journey of a lifetime!
