We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

I have entered the Great North Run this year to raise money for Cancer Research UK in memory of all the people I have known and loved who have lost their lives to cancer. Also in support of my amazing Aunty Susie and many others who are currently fighting this disease. My aim is to raise £500 to help Team Susie reach its £10,000 target by the end of 2016. My marra Debra has signed up too and we hope to raise a grand between us for this amazing charity that does great things in the fight against cancer, a disease that affects us all. Not only do I want to raise loads of dosh for this worthy cause, but it's a personal mission to try and improve my fitness and health and reduce my risk of developing cancer. Obesity is the cause of 17,000 cases of cancer per year and I don't want to be one of those statistics. I will donate £1 for every lb of weight I lose between now and September along the way. I hope you will all get behind me and Debra to help Team Susie reach our £10,000 target and help Cancer Research UK continue their vital work in defeating this terrible disease xx
