My story

 
Dominic will be running in the advance party whilst Maureen will be in the rear guard of the 10k Great Manchester Run on 17 May. Please support us. We want to remember our brother/uncle by raising some funds for the very worthy cause of Wirral Autistic Society, where he found a home from home in his later years. When Gerard was young, "autism" was a word not many people had heard of, and the condition was only just beginning to be recognised. Now, the "autistic spectrum" is widely recognised and researched but provision for the growing number of adults with autism is hard to find. We were very lucky to have a place for Gerard with Wirral Autistic Society, and we can only sing its praises for the genuine care he was given, with provision tailored to his needs.
