We are Team Transplant and we are competing in the London Triathlon to raise awareness about the need for organ donation.  Our team is Dick (52) a dialysis patient, awaiting a transplant, Ernesto (43) a transplant recipient and David (49) a transplant surgeon.  We are each planning to complete the full triathlon and wish to raise funds to support Transplant Sport. 

For Dick, this triathlon will help to show people that it is possible to remain fit on dialysis.  It will be a major undertaking for him.  For Ernesto this is an opportunity for him to show how transplantation gave him back a normal quality of life.  For David it is a chance to show the commitment of the medical profession in support of people with organ failure. 

We are doing this together to underline the importance we all attach to finding organs to help the thousands of people waiting for a transplant.
