At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

*****Thank you everyone who sponsored us, we are thrilled to have made our target. We completed the course in 2h 50m, with no casualties and only a few minor injuries. **********

We're back!

This will be our third and (due to old age, gluttony and laziness) our final London Triathlon.

This year we are raising money for the Alzheimer's Society as all of our families have been affected by the disease recently, and until we saw it up close I don't think any of us had appreciated how bad it could be. I'm sure it's affected a lot of your families and I hope you think this is a cause worthy of giving.

I did suggest to Paul that we swap disciplines this year, and he do the swim, but he said regrettably he'd lost his rubber ring, so we are sticking to what we know best. I will start by swimming 1.5km in the docks, Guy will then cycle 40km around docklands, and Paul will bring us home with a 10km run back into the Excel Centre.

The last two triathlons we did in exactly the same time, 2h 47min, so we are aiming to beat that. You can see how we got on in 2008 and 2009 at these links.

We've had a lot of support in the past from friends and family, and have raised over £2,000 for charities, which is absolutely terrific. This will be the last time we pester you about this, so please give what you can.

Thank You!
