Story

Hi!

So challenge done! Thanks so much to everyone who donated and supported.

We completed roughly 620km in 3 days averaging around 130 miles each day. It was tough (really, really tough) but thats the way #teamtron roll!

Navagation was an issue (again!) and many thanks to sustrans & cycle route 2 for sending us 20 miles out of our way!lol

Never mind. All home safe and sound, fed and watered, gearing up for our next cycling challenge - suggestions welcome.

Thanks again!

Updated on Dec 28th 2011 at 12:08 AM from the JustGiving API

Thanks to everyone who's looked at the page and anyone who donates. Please stick to the £5 limit, this is REALLY important. We want small individual donations.......and lots of them. Happy holidays!!

In February 2011, 2 idiots set out on 2 bikes to cover 400km over Exmoor in 2 days. With no training and rubbish weather it was tough going but over £1500 was raised for a really worthwhile MS charity in Bristol.

This year, the same 2 idiots will be setting out in potentially worse weather to cover the same trip in reverse, this time taking on the beast of Dartmoor instead. Our chosen charities this year are DeafBlind UK and the LEEP programme in Bristol.

We are asking for a slightly different angle on sponsorship this year - please limit your donations to £5 and under. This is really important!!! Any donations over £5 and Ross will come round your house and personally repremand you.

Our aim is to get over 100 individual donations of under £5, please help us to acheive this and pass on some much needed cash to these 2 worthwhile charities.

The LEEP programme is a life-altering programme for patients with acute respiratory disease and the staff do wonders for patients and help return quality of life as well as halt the progression of this debilitating disease.

http://www.shinetogether.org.uk/

Deafblind UK is a national charity offering specialist services and human support to deafblind people and those who have progressive sight and hearing loss acquired throughout their lives. It's work is second to none in terms of reducing the isolating impact that hearing and visual impairment can leave a person feeling.

http://www.deafblind.org.uk/

This is a really tough cycling challenge and we will be travelling UNSUPPORTED carrying 15kg of kit over the hardest terrain of Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset. Last year we spent most of the time heaing into 32mph headwinds and this time we are expecting more of the same.

This challenge will go ahead regardless of any conditions.

Thank you so much

JT & Rosco (The Trons)
