Henry is 40 this year and his friends wanted to do something different to celebrate it. We came up with the Screwball Rally. (Screwballrally.co.uk) This involves driving to Prague and back; 2000 miles, 8 countries, in five days. Hard enough in a modern luxury car but we have to do it in a car that has cost no more than £750.
We have bought two old Saab 93 convertables and Henry, Chris, Paul and Richard are in the process of repairing and decorating them ahead of the challenge in September.
A major part of the Screwball Rally is raising money for charities.
We have chosen to support Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
A good friend of ours was whisked off to hospital with a broken
back and largely due to their actions he was saved from a life in a wheelchair, and I'm happy to say he made a full recovery. All of us have been present at various sporting events with our children where an Air Ambulance has been called to fly a young sportsman to hospital. It is a wonderful service and we would
like to support them. Any money you give will be going straight to the Charity.
Please give generously to keep this magnificent service in the air.
