We are Team Wiggle, 3 employees of www.wiggle.co.uk who fancied a challenge and to get ourselves fitter for the 2009 season to get into a bit of racing.
We are all workshop staff, with Doug also working in the order processing department, so if you buy a bike from wiggle, there's a good chance it may be built and set up by one of us!
We are:
Doug MacGrain, who is into downhill racing mainly, with some decent competition results under his belt, but now decided that he needs some more fitness so is getting into the road biking for training.
Ben Jeffery, a very keen cyclist who enjoys just getting out! He also enjoys some downhill riding, but has a collection of bikes and is up for any sort of ride. He has completed his first year as a mechanic for wiggle's sponsored rider, Matt Page, who basically owned the 2008 season of endurance racing, winning the vast majority of races in the 2nd half of the season!
Carl Percival, who is part of the old school of riding, enjoying retro style mountain bikes and cross country riding, along with a great deal of road riding. Illness and theft of his bikes kept him from riding most of 2008, but is getting back into riding in 2009 with a vengence with the hope of a few races.
We aim to raise as much money as possible between us for the MS Trust, a charity supporting the needs of people suffering with Multiple Sclerosis.
We shall be arranging local events, getting press coverage, and approaching companies in the industry for sponsorship. Every little helps, so please donate as much or as little as you can......JUST DONATE SOMETHING!!!
