We provide support & information to anyone affected by ovarian cancer

Story

Hi Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page. 'TEA with Ovacome' are a group of women who decided to raise funds for OVACOME by holding an annual Champagne Afternoon Tea and Fashion Show. Ovacome is the Ovarian Cancer Support Charity and works to raise awareness about ovarian cancer and its symptoms, as well as providing support for people who have been affected by ovarian cancer. www.ovacome.org.uk Ovarian cancer is the second most common gynaecological cancer in the UK. Every year approximately 7000 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer and almost 5000 will die of it. This makes ovarian cancer quite a deadly disease and one of the key reasons for this is because most cases are diagnosed in the late stages. When diagnosed at the early stages, there is a 90% 5 year survival rate. However, late diagnosis means that only about 20 % of women survive for 5 years. This is why it is so key that we raise awareness of the symptoms of ovarian cancer and this is why we ask you to give generously to support OVACOME.
