Story

My Story: 2 women, 2 bikes, 2 weeks and 1000 miles.

We've done it! As planned with no disasters and no dramas. 1018 miles in total.

We had lots of fun. The first week was hard with cold northerlies but the rain missed us most of the time.Once we got to the lakes the temperatures warmed up a bit and I could take off one of my 4 layers! The great British countryside was looking its best - hedgerows full of primroses and cowslips, lime green leaves appearing on all the trees. The Wye valley was particularly picturesque with fields of yellow rape and orchards of apple blossom. We found a variety of rivers and canals to cycle along side, even in Preston (the Ribble). However Scotland trumped all before it (not that I'm biased). We cycled via Arran and then through the Great Glenn. Ben Nevis still has snow on top and the reflections on Loch Ness were stunning. By the end we were in shirt sleeves and enjoying the lack of midges.

Thank you so much to friends, family and colleagues who supported us along the way. It was an amazing journey and an unforgettable experience. Can you believe we didn't have one puncture between us! Thanks Angie for being such a great mate!
