The Bethany Children's - Ben Nevis Sponsored Challenge 2009 · 15 May 2009 ·

The Bethany Children’s Trust’s (BCT’s) vision is to equip the Christian Church to lead the way in building a local and global society where every child is loved, valued, safe, nurtured and free to reach their God-given potential.

Story

Hi, I’m glad you’ve made it here to my fundraising page for The Bethany Children’s Trust.

On May 16th, a small team of us will be climbing Ben Nevis which, at just over 4000 feet (or 1300metres for the more up-to-date of you!) is the highest point of the British Isles. Our aim, apart from getting to the summit, is twofold: to raise awareness of the unutterably wretched state that many children live in in this world and to raise money that will be used to vastly improve the lives of children that we can reach through the 6 projects we currently support (with practical on-the-ground help as well as money) in 5 African countries. To find out more about these projects, please visit our website www.bethanychildrenstrust.org.uk. Through our Nevis Challenge, we’re hoping to raise £20,000 as a team and my personal target is £1000 of that. Every penny we raise will make a difference, I promise you.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure.  It's also the most efficient way to sponsor us:  The Bethany Children's Trust gets your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So, please sign up and encourage me to get to the top – I promise a report on the event later in May, once I’ve recovered!

With many thanks

Terry
