Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am going to be running the Great North Run on the 20th September which is a half marathon, just to clarify that is 13.2 miles which may not seem that much but let me assure you when I am running it will probably seem like a whole lot longer than that!!!!

I am asking for anyone that can afford to make a donation to please do so, I am running to raise money for the Tuberous Sclerosis Association, many of you will not be aware of this condition.  To put it in a nutshell the condition means that tuber-like growths grow on the brain and other main organs and calcify with age which leads to other problems depending on the size of the growths and where they are.  There is no cure for Tuberous Sclerosis but there is ongoing research which will help in managing this condition.

Les' cousin's daughter has this condition so his family have first hand experience of the difference that this research could make to the lives of the people living with Tuberous Sclerosis.

On a lighter note I promise that should I raise enough money I will never again grace the streets of britain dressed up in the pictured tutu looking like a fairy elephant at 11am in the morning!!!!!  Those who were out with me will agree that it was a good laugh but not something that should ever be repeated, so dig deep and help to save me from the shame of ever having to go out dressed like that again!!!!!!
