Rob, myself and 6 others from the Gloucester Group are climbing  Ben Nevis on the 15th August. 2008.  We lost our Son Chris on the 2nd March 2006.  All of our group have lost a family member to suicide and we are hoping to support each other as well as thinking about our loved ones.  We are lucky enough to have Roger from our Gloucester Group of SOBS,  an experienced walker who will guide us.  None of the rest of us have attempted such a feat before so we are approaching it with some trepidation, to say the least!

Chris enjoyed the countryside and walking so we feel it will be a fitting tribute to him.  If anyone wishes to sponsor us, we would be very grateful for their help and would like the donation to go to either the Gloucester SOBS group or the national charity of Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide who have been a great help to us in many ways since we lost Chris.

We are now involved with helping bereaved people and also with prevention work in the future.
