In April 2009 Terry was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia.  Unfortunately the initial chemotherapy treatment proved unsuccessful and her doctor was unable to secure funding for further drug treatment.   

As a result of her condition, Terry suffered a massive stroke at the beginning of August this year.  She never regained consciousness and, sadly, Terry passed away on Sunday, 8th August 2010.  She died peacefully at home.
