We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

This October, 5th and 6th, regardless of the British weather, we will be taking on the Thames Path to raise money for Cancer Research UK. OK - not the entire 180 mile walk from source to sea in one day!  Only slightly less ambitiously we'll walk the 25 mile stretch from the Thames Barrier to Kew bridge. (That potentially means passing 30+ pubs without a beer.)

The timing and type of event are not a co-incidence. Our friend Simon died of cancer earlier this year. He would have been 37 in October, so the walk is a birthday get together. Over the years we have all been on many walks with Simon - mountains and mud in Switzerland and lake district, pub crawls and expeditions through London and Frankfurt, even a walk round the block could be an event.

Whilst our memories are personal, cancer is indiscriminate. The money we raise will contribute to preventing and treating other cancer sufferers, so please help by sponsoring us today.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.If you'd prefer, you can sponsor us offline, just let us know!

Thanks from all of us - we promise not to show you our blisters after the event! Unless you want...
