Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. The success of this venture depends on good-hearted people like you.
The Event:
On 1st August I started on my venture to create a new World record by swimming the entire length of the non-tidal River Thames - starting west of Lechlade in Gloucestershire and finishing at Teddington Lock, West London. This feat had never been attempted before. The 147 mile swim has now been completed and took me 14 days from start to finish. You can see more on our website; www.thamesswim.org.
Although the event is complete, the fund raising continues. If you have not already done so, please take the time to make a small donation.
The Competition:
A pair of new Aqua Sphere swimskins (the same as I wore ) plus goggles, fins, etc. worth approx £250 have been won by Rach simply by making a donation and guessing the number of swimming strokes it took me to get from Sunbury Lock to Molesey Lock (see Thames Swim website for details 'About The Thames'). The actual number of strokes was 6,336. The winner, Rach, can now choose 2 suits to fit her or suits of different sizes to fit herself and her partner.
