Kidscape is committed to keeping children safe from abuse.

It is the first charity in the established specifically to prevent bullying and child sexual abuse.  The charity was established in 1984 by child psychologist Michele Elliott who was recently awarded an OBE in the 2008 New Year’s Honours List for services to children.  The charity has won a number of awards for its work in keeping children safe: Charity Times Awards – Highly Commended 2007; The Charity Awards – Highly Commended 2007 and 2003; UK Charity Award – Winner 2000.
