Hey peeps, on Saturday 6th September i’m doing two races and it would be great to get your backing.

Recently I heard of the sad passing of an old school friend, Robert Evans. I didn’t know him as an adult but I’ve never forgot him from when I was younger. Bullying was relentless at secondary school for me and I only lasted a year before I moved schools. There were very few people who made that year bearable but Rob was certainly one of them. Many a time he saved my backside and it’s because of people like him that I give back doing volunteer/charity work now. I’m sure the old Hummersknott crew would agree that Rob was one of the funniest guys in our year and he was a; kind, compassionate child too. Something to admire at that age. I didn’t know at the time so I wasn’t there to pay my respects but i’d like to dedicate the Bupa Great North Run’s 5k to him. I’ve seen the family’s chosen charity was for Save the children, so for all the good guys out there, dig deep and give what you can!!
