Well we did it!! Thanks to all of you for your donations and support. There was some tough riding, steep hills, but great craic and fun along the way. If you haven't got round to sponsoring us yet (and were waiting to see if we would actually do it!!) - well you still have a week or so to chuck us a few quid!! Thanks again for all your support - especially all the Stores who gave us such a terrific boost when ever we pitched up.

The M&S Ireland Team are undertaking a 480km cyclathon from Belfast to Cork via Dublin over 4 days, 16th to 19th September, stopping off at 14 Stores on the way. I am in training to do the whole trip and as they say there is no fool like an old fool,  I've managed to rope in some young blood to help me out! My son Ewan is also doing the whole event with us to help his old man get across the line.

30 of us are doing the whole ride and there is lots of activity in our Stores as well. In total we are planning to raise £50,000 for the Action Cancer Charity in Northern Ireland. A local Charity, they help to save lives and support people and their families who are affected by Cancer. They offer counselling, early detection and support services and are entirely reliant on voluntary contributions.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
