The Daisy Appeal is a great local charity doing wonderful work in the fight against cancer, heart disease and dementia.  It is based at Castle Hill hospital.  I know a lot of people may have heard of the Daisy Appeal but don't really know what wonderful work it does so please take a look at their website - www.daisyappeal.org to find out more.  There is an article under the news section about me along with a photo.  This is the same article that appeared in the Hull Daily Mail recently.

Running the London Marathon is a dream come true for me and i'm so pleased I can raise money for such a good cause at the same time. 

My training has gone really well, I've stuck to my training plan and enjoyed every minute (well almost!). I'm tapering now - winding down and easing off ready for the big day. Can't believe it is less than a week now, so excited.  Mike has been such a fantastic support, keeping me company in all weathers on his bike -I couldn't have done this without his support and that of all my family and friends.  Mike is ready to ditch the bike now though- he's had enough cycling to last  a lifetime!
