Story

The Numptys completed the Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge from Workington on the west coast to Sunderland on the east coast over four days from the 21st to the 24th June, to raise money for Support after Murder and Manslaughter, Merseyside (SAMMM) in memory of Vicky Wynne-Jones.

Over the course of the four days, the team had to contend with numerous hills, severe weather conditions (there was so much rain they called off the Great North Swim which was also in that area the same weekend!!) and a trip to the local A&E after an unfortunate collision with the side of the road on a particularly slippery stretch of downhill road. Luckily Amanda escaped with some spectacular bruising and did complete the rest of the trip.

There were of course plenty of good times... the amazing downhill runs, the scenery and the overall sense of teamwork that got us all through. The sense of achievement at the finish line, and the firm friendships that have come out of this weekend make all the hard times barely noticeable, and the fact that we have been able to raise so much money for such a great cause just adds to that achievement.

So thank you for taking the time to read this, and to give your support. It is very much appreciated :)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks again,

The Numptys xx
