Lesley Vaz died from a brain tumour just 4 years ago leaving a husband, Tom with two young children, Christopher and Luke. Although devastated at her passing, she left many happy memories and now Tom and younger son Luke (aged 14) are attempting to raise money in her memory for one of the charities that supported Lesley through very tough times. The South East Cancer Help Centre http://www.sechc.org.uk provides complementary therapies and a haven for Cancer sufferers, many of whom, like Lesley cannot be cured but are learning to manage their lives. For us the days when Lesley came home from the Centre with a big smile on her face were truly magical.

Together with Des Donohoe, another supporter of the Centre, we are completing a 600 mile, self organised, cycling tour of the Picos de Europa mountains in Cantabria, Spain covering up to 60 miles a day; every penny raised will go directly to the charity as we are meeting our own expenses.

A big challenge for us and especially Luke. The poor boy has not been off his stabilizers for long and now he is expected to climb mountains!

Follow us at our blog :- http://the-picos-ride-for-cancer.blogspot.com/ and please dig deep - every pound counts!

Donating through this site is easy, quick and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: the South East Cancer Help Centre will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
