Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page....

WE DID IT!!!! Team Thomas completed the London Marathon 2011 and we managed to run all the way, coming in at 5 hrs and 22 mins. It was a truly amazing experience and we'd like to say a massive thanks to everyone that has supported us throughout the past year of fundraising and training. Our Nana would be proud!

Team Thomas is made up of brothers and sisters Stephanie, Gareth and Leighton Thomas.

As some of you may know, our Nana, Betty sadly passed away in May. She was very much loved by all of us and we wanted to do something special to raise money in her memory. Betty was truly an amazing woman and spent most of her life acting as a full-time carer to her son Roger, who was born with severe learning disabilities. Nana was a huge supporter of the charity Mencap, who raise awareness and give support to those with learning disabilities. We want to raise lots of money for them so that as many people as possible with learning disabilities can receive the support they need, and have a equal chance in life.

All 3 of us have agreed to take part in The London Marathon 2011...ridiculous really as Stephanie had never run further than a mile in her adult life! So it's going to be a massive challenge and we are looking to raise a huge £6,000! So please dig as deep as you can and help us support this amazing charity - for Betty.
