Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

                                 THE 3,2,1 CHALLENGE

                  3 DAYS , 2 FRIENDS , FOR 1 BEST MATE

Last year my best friend was diognosed with C.M.L Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia which the doctors told him was not as bad as it sounded and could be treated with a cocktail of drugs .

But unfortunatily for him it changed to A.L.L Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia . Which now ment he would need a bone marrow transplant , As luck would have it and all his friend rallied round to help lining themselves up for tests to see if anyone of us could help

To Austen's suprise his brother was a perfect match and so they started there intensive treatment before there op's .

October came round and the date was set , they both went in to Kings hospital London and as far as we know at the moment it is going to plan .

As i live so far away from him now i told him that i was feeling guiltiy for not being there as much as i would of liked , So i told him that i would raise him some money and he could give it to which ever charity he wished .He chose the Friends of Eastbourne hospltal as he spent most of his time there on the Pevensey ward .

Now the challenge , my brother-in-law and i are going to walk the South Downs Way, all 100 miles of it in 3 day . Starting in Winchester on the 31st may 2011 and finish at Eastbourne pier on the 2nd june 2011 . besides it being 100 miles long we have been told that we will ascend and descend a total of14000 feet along the way .

We know the walk will not be easy in anyway but its not going to be half as hard as what Austen and Jenny have been through .

Thankyou very much for taking the time to read my short tale of why and for who this challenge means so much .

Thank you once again from

Simon and Bob (Andrew)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
