A long time a go in a galaxy far far away... (well... Crewe to be exact)
I had a dream...not as good as Martin Luther King's, but still it was a dream...that myself and 7 members of my family would embark on a journey....a journey to conquer the Three Peaks of the United Kingdom...and with that, I put in the calls and with a bit of persuading a fellowship was forged...The G8 Summits!
The G8 Summits is made up of a couple of Topiwalla's, a few Jaldevi's and four Tailors (the majority...no surprise there!)
Our mission statement is simple...To climb the highest peaks in England (Scafell Pike), Scotland (Ben Nevis) and Wales (Snowdon) to raise money for the charity Heal UK.
Heal UK is a registered UK charity which is committed to providing shelter, support education and healthcare for well over 1,000 children in India.
To put it into perspective, it costs £150 to sponsor a child for a year which provides them with food, education, healthcare etc. So if we raised, £1500 that would be the equivalent of ten childen for a year being looked after as a result of your efforts....
We aim to raise £4000 and unlike some charities, all the money raised will go to India.
