Story
On the 21st of July 2007, Joe and Simon will set off from Hyde Park, London on the Mongol Rally, a mammoth trip to UlaanBaatar, Mongolia. This is 8,000-10,000 miles in a wiggly line and will take 3-4 weeks, We will do this in a 1 litre engined or less car which must cost less than £200. Needless to say our car will not be very good! We are doing this for Mercy Corps and Send A Cow.
We maybe mad and we may not make it (or make it home), but either way this is a great way to raise money for some charities!
This page lets you donate money to Send A Cow. They send cows and other animals to Africa, allowing people to become self sufficiant and hence reduce poverty in communities. When the cow or goat or pig has offspring they are passed on to other Africans and so a small donation grows and grows until lots of Africans have lots of cows. Official Send A Cow website: http://www.sendacow.org.uk/
Our other rally charity, and the Mongol Rally's official charity is Mercy Corps Mongolia. To donate to Send a Cow please donate from this page. To donate to Mercy Corps please visit our other page http://www.justgiving.com/thebaatarmobile.
