This is David's first (and last!!) marathon but Steve has already completed the race in 2001. We are both looking forward to the 26 long miles from Statten to Manhatten. We'll keep you posted as our training progresses.
As you can see our chosen charity is Get Kids Going which is a national charity whose aim is to give disabled children and young people the wonderful opportunity of participating in sport by providing them with specially built sports wheelchairs.
There are over 250,000 disabled children and young people in Britain who desparately want special manual wheelchairs, trikes and other equipment to help them compete in their chosen sport.
Our aim is to raise enough money to provide at least one young person with a top of the range sports wheelchair at a cost of around £3,000. Thats a lot of money but with your help we can do it.
