During my who life my dad has been my world my rock, my hero and my best friend. after suffering a series of strokes in 2008 he was left in a bad way he fought himself back up to gain independence. August the 3rd I had the phone call I have never wanted to receive, "its your dad you need to get here" "is he ok" "you just need to get here" I rushed home as quickly as possible to no avail my dad had gone peacefully in his sleep. I was distraught, angry confused, I just sat there with him not wanting this to be real I feel a state of vulnerability come over me I was scared. After hearing from the coroner it turns out this man truly was cut from dad material. he knew he had heart disease he chose not to tell us because he knew he couldn't alter the out come. he didn't want to be treated differently because of it he knew it was coming just not when. he passed away days after an amazing holding away first time in years, first time ever with his kids and grandkids together he loved every second as did we. I'm hoping to raise £10000 to donate in his memory to research in to the UK's biggest killer. To give men women children the chance to survive this the chance my dad didn't have. But without the research there will be no cause anything you can donate will help.
