<h1>What is the Birdman Competition?</h1>
<p>The Birdman is a flight competition for human powered flying machines held each summer in the picturesque seaside town of Worthing on England's South Coast.</p>
<p>Many flyers take part to raise money for charities, other design complex machines to aim for the distance prizes.</p>
<p>St John Ambulane Worthing Divisional Members Cliff Baddock and Jodie Norris are taking "The Big Leap", jumping from a platform 35 feet up into the sea attempting to fly in their purpose built flying machine built by our youth section in aid of our division to raise funds to buy a new fully equipped "Ambulance Cycle".</p>
<p>This cycle will help us to delliver a faster and more eco friendly approach when deployed at local community events to provide that all important first aid cover.</p>
